1.Ventilation
First, take off the PVC transparent door curtain and put it in a well-ventilated place. Try to expose it to fresh air as much as possible to help the odors dissipate. It can be aired out on an outdoor balcony or in a ventilated room. In summer, you can sunbathe it, as heat from the sun also helps remove odors. This step may take several days, and the longer it stays, the better the effect.
2.Cleaning
After ventilation, use a mild detergent with water to clean the surface of the PVC transparent door curtain. You can also use organic solvents or strong alkaline detergents to ensure thorough cleaning. Remove any dust and dirt from the surface. After cleaning, rinse with clean water to make sure no detergent remains.
3.Use adsorbents
Odor-absorbing substances like activated carbon, bamboo charcoal, or desiccants can be used to remove the smell from PVC transparent door curtains. Place these adsorbents near or around the curtain to absorb odor molecules. These substances typically need some time to fully absorb odors, so leave them in place for a while.
4.Apply deodorants
Deodorants can break down odor molecules through oxidation, reduction, and complexation. Choose a commercially available deodorant and follow the product's instructions. Spray the deodorant evenly on the surface of the PVC transparent door curtain, keeping a distance of 20-30cm from the surface. Let it absorb fully and dry without wiping or washing it, so the deodorant can work effectively.
