PVC soft board is a board with a honeycomb mesh structure made of PVC as raw material. PVC soft board is a kind of vacuum blister film, which is used for the surface packaging of various panels, so it is also called decorative film and adhesive film. PVC soft boards are used in many industries such as building materials and packaging. Among them, PVC soft board accounts for the largest proportion in the building materials industry, at 60%, followed by the packaging industry, and there are several other small-scale applications.
General performance of PVC soft board: PVC resin is a white or light yellow powder with a relative density of 1.35-1.45. The hardness of the product can be adjusted by adding the number of plasticizers. Pure PVC has low water absorption and air permeability.
Mechanical properties of PVC soft board: PVC soft board has higher hardness and mechanical properties. It increases with the increase of molecular weight, but decreases with the increase of temperature. The rigid PVC board has good mechanical properties, and its elastic modulus can reach 1500-3000MPa. The elasticity of soft PVC board is 1.5-15 MPa. But the elongation at break is as high as 200%-450%. The friction of PVC is general, the static friction factor is 0.4-0.5, and the dynamic friction factor is 0.23.
Thermal properties of PVC soft board: The heat-resistant stability of PVC soft board is very poor. It starts to decompose at 140℃, and the melting temperature is 160℃. The linear expansion coefficient of PVC soft board is small, it is flame retardant, and the oxidation index is as high as 45 or more.
The electrical properties of PVC soft board: PVC soft board is a polymer with better electrical properties, but due to its greater polarity, the electrical insulation is not as good as PP and PE. The dielectric constant, dielectric loss tangent and volume resistivity are relatively large, and the corona resistance is not good, and it is generally suitable for low- and low-frequency insulating materials.
The environmental performance of PVC soft board: PVC soft board can withstand most inorganic acids, alkalis, salts, and most organic solvents. Suitable for medicine and chemical antiseptic materials.
