Different production process

Acrylic casting plate is cast once, while extruded plate is continuously extruded at high temperature.

Different tolerances

The main reason for the different tolerances is that the production processes of the two are different.

During casting, it is inevitable that there will be sedimentation in the center of the mold, so the casting plate always has a small tolerance on the four sides and a large tolerance in the middle.

For plates produced by continuous extrusion, the thickness control will be due to the plates produced by the casting process. Since continuous extrusion will reduce the actual tolerance of each part of the plate, the thickness of the entire plate should be as uniform as possible.

Different material process performance

Casting plate has high process performance and is suitable for various processes (including engraving, blistering, hot bending, etc.). There is no crystal point on the surface and it has higher transparency.

The corners of the extruded plate will turn yellow (more obvious if too much recycled material is used), and crystal points are easy to appear on the surface (the dust-free workshop can solve this problem). The process performance is weak, and the processing range is very narrow compared to the casting plate.

Different production cycles

The production time of cast plate is relatively long, which is suitable for small batch production; the extruded plate has a high degree of automation and can be produced in large quantities, but the color and specifications are not easy to adjust, so the diversity of product specifications is subject to certain restrictions.
