Phenolic resin rod is one of the longest plastic varieties in history, commonly known as Bakelite or PF. Its appearance is yellowish-brown or black, which is typical of thermosetting plastics. Phenolic resin is used as a forming material, mainly in areas requiring heat resistance, but also as an adhesive for plywood, grinding wheels, and brake pads.
It is made of high quality bleached wood paper and lint paper as reinforcement, and it needs phenolic resin as a resin binder that made by reaction with high purity and fully synthetic petrochemical raw materials.
